We all know that clothing in Europe is more expensive than clothing in the USA. Even ignoring conversion rates, clothing here is pretty expensive. It always helps when you buy clothes during a time that the conversion rates are low, such as now in 2016. When looking for cheaper clothing, the first thing is to try and avoid the normal brand name shops. Even H&M is more expensive in Germany so other name brands are ridiculously over priced. Instead, go to a thrift store. While they won't be as cheap as thrift stores in the USA they will still be a lot cheaper than going into a name brand store. A good thrift store in Germany is called Oxfam they often have good items that are usually in season. You should just make sure to wash the clothes before you wear them, as you would normally do in the USA. If you don't want to go through the hassle of washing your clothes before you wear them, check out KIK or Primark. While the quality isn't the best, if you aren't staying in Germany for very long the clothes will definitely last at least a year. One thing to be careful of is that some jeans in Germany will bleed on you if you wear them in the rain before washing them. I hope this was helpful to all of you.
