Missing the Bus

When living in Germany, you are bound to miss at least one bus. I have missed a bus before, and it is definitely not fun. However, when you miss a bus it is not the end! There are still plenty of ways to get around in Germany. If your city has a subway system, go ahead and take the train. If you decide to go this route, look up where you want to go on Google Maps and find the closest train station. Just make sure you buy a ticket or else you could have to pay 500 euros in fines. When there are no trains or you just don't want to take one, you can always find an alternate bus route. You will most likely have to take more than one bus and walk a little bit. However, if you need to be somewhere and you can't wait for the next bus, then this is a good way to go. Just make sure you look up your route on Google Maps or the German bus app (available in the USA app store) because if you don't, it can be pretty difficult to figure out which buses to take and when to take them. I hope this was helpful to all of you out there on an exchange in Germany or planning to go over there in the near future.

Tschüss Leute!
